COVID-19 UPDATE

It is our utmost desire to physically have everyone back in the church worshipping together, but the safety of DICLA family is important to us, so we have made the decision to hold off on re-opening now, and use the next two weeks to observe the effect the new directives will play on COVID-19 infection rate.

We want you to know that we have begun to make plans to reopen in accordance with the State’s guidelines. This includes applying ALL safety health protocols and adopting additional protocols consistent with our specific needs at DICLA Church. Our main goal is to help ensure the safety and health of all our members and the public.

Below is our Reopening Strategy and an outline of the Health Protocols we will implement in service of our members:

We now know that the virus that causes COVID-19 can be spread to others by infected persons who have few or no symptoms. Even if an infected person is only mildly ill, the people they spread it to may become seriously ill or even die, especially if that person is 65 or older with pre-existing health conditions that place them at higher risk. Because of the hidden nature of this threat, we strongly encourage that:

  • People 65 or older should join the online live streaming and participate in the service remotely.

  • People with pre-existing health conditions that place them at higher risk should join the online live streaming and participate in the service remotely.

  • We will keep the Children Church closed for now. Household with children will sit together in the sanctuary.

PHASE THREE:

  • DICLA resumes ONSITE Services with 50% capacity increase on a date to be announced later, following State Government directives. We will continue to LIVESTREAM SERVICES ONLINE on our social media platforms. Zoom-ID: 594-285-2123. Youtube: dic losangeles

REOPENING HEALTH PROTOCOLS FOR ONSITE ATTENDEES

As stay-at-home orders are modified, it is essential that all possible steps be taken to ensure the safety of the DICLA family and the public. Our key prevention practices include:

  1. We strongly encourage any at-risk population* to watch ONLINE or participate in the services remotely.

  2. All onsite attendee’s temperature will be screened before coming into the church facilities.

  3. The use of face coverings is recommended for all ONSITE attendees.

  4. ALL onsite attendees MUST maintain 6 feet physical distancing from other individuals.

  5. We will ensure proper spacing between parties in any row, except as follows:

  • Two or more members of the same household can sit together on the same roll.

  • Two individuals who are not members of the same household but who are attending together can sit together on the same roll.

   6. All onsite attendees MUST follow appropriate cleaning, disinfecting, hand hygiene, and respiratory etiquette.

HEALTH PROTOCOLS FOR OUR FACILITY:

  • We will regularly and frequently clean and disinfect any regularly touched surfaces, such as doorknobs, tables, and restrooms.

  • We will disinfect all items that attendees come into contact with, such as microphones...

  • We will make hand sanitizer, soap and water, or similar disinfectants readily available.

We encourage everyone to follow the practices specified in these protocols, all of which facilitate a safe reopening of DICLA Church. The virus that causes COVID-19 is still circulating in our communities. We should continue to observe these practices that protect everyone, including those who are most vulnerable.

*At-risk population are those who are 65 or older, especially those with chronic lung disease; moderate to severe asthma; chronic heart disease; severe obesity; diabetes; chronic kidney disease undergoing dialysis; liver disease; or weakened immune system.
