Secrets to Outstanding Success

March 2, 2018

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)

God’s plan for us is to prosper and be successful in life. According to Galatians 3:13-14; we have been redeemed from every form of failure and have been qualified for an inheritance in Christ Jesus. Our inheritance in Christ Jesus is “The Blessing of Abraham” (Genesis 12:1-3), which is empowerment to prosper. Success is our birthright as a believer, yet success is not a gift. It is a choice! All it takes for us to be successful in life has been made available unto us, but the knowledge of the blessing alone is not enough to manifest it. We must know how to access it.

“Who is the man that fears the Lord? Him shall He teach in the way He chooses. He himself shall dwell in prosperity, and his descendants shall inherit the earth. The secret of the LORD is with those who fear him; and he will show them his covenant.” Psalm 25: 12-14

There is no doubt about it: God’s secrets bring great rewards. When you do things God’s way, success is inevitable. Just as precious gems cannot be found without digging deep. Likewise, God’s secrets for outstanding success are not easily available to every dick and harry. No one wants to fail in life, but many have not attained the level of success they desire. Being successful involves following principles that can lead you on the pathway to success.

Imagine you decide to take a trip. Would it make sense to just start driving without any direction and ignoring traffic signs? You might discover interesting places, but you also might drive around in circles. It will be much better to choose a destination, examine a map, consider all the routes options and then decide on how to get there? Likewise, the road to success requires you get directions and obey instructions.

1. Set the right goals

Before you can even begin to work toward being successful, you must set the right goal. Setting the right goal gives you direction and purpose. Set your goal with God in mind. Goals that answer questions like “where am I going” and “why am I going there.” To reach physical and spiritual success, you must begin with the right goals. Ecclesiastes 12:9-14

2. Acquire God's knowledge. Joshua 1:8, 2 Peter 1:2-4

Every journey of life requires knowledge. To attain outstanding success that God has for you, you must take time to discover His divine secrets which are deeply buried in His word. Search out what God said about your spiritual, physical, financial, mental and emotional success in life. Remember, success is not a gift. It is a choice. When you feast on His word, you will be filled with His goodness!

3. Apply God’s word (Joshua 1:8, Deuteronomy 28:1-2) - As you discover His secrets, you must also apply them practically to your life. A key is useless if it is not used to lock or unlock a door. Likewise, unless you apply God’s word to your life, the discovery of His divine secrets will not bring you the outcome that you desire. But when you faithfully apply these truths to your life, you will enjoy year-round and all-round success. You will prosper in whatever you lay your hands upon to do because you’ve got God’s 100% guarantee!

4. Humility - The swiftest way to promotion and lifting is humility. God goes by the condition of your heart. The more you allow humility to lead your life the more you will be empowered (Proverb 18:12, 29:23, Mathew 23:1-12). Humility demands that you obey God without conditions; you submit to those that are placed above you without dissensions; you celebrate those that are placed besides you without contention, strife and rivalry; and you serve those that are placed under you without segregation and prejudice. 1 Peter 5:1-6. Humility helps you to enjoy increase in favor with God and man; and you will also enjoy God’s preservation.

5. Allow God to lead you (Psalm 23:1-2) - “Blessed (Empowered to be successful) is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly…”   Psalm 1:1-3.  Are you tired of frustration and defeat in life? Do you really want to know what it means to prosper and be successful in every aspect of life? Then allow God to lead you. If you want to experience God-kind of success in life, you must choose to do things His way all the time. Worldly counsel will only bring shame and pain. But God’s counsel will bring glory and gain!  If you want to excel in life, choose to consistently live your life according to godly principles and precepts.
